Jesse is a great guy and a fascinating artist. He paints mostly with his hands and fingers. Take a stroll through his work. What do you think? What makes his work a 'body' of work? How does he tie it all together?
he uses a lot of the same shapes and colors. his work kind of reminds me of toris concentration...with adding and subtracting elements from his artwork
His work is so different. I don't know how he comes up with some of the random things he draws/paints. I'm curious as to what he's thinking about when he creates a piece of art. Evelyn
i found jesse reno in a book in the art room sophomore year and i loveeeee his work. i really wanted to experiment with that style but i cant really..... gr photography
I love that he paints with his hands and fingers! Sounds fun. He definitely uses lots of bright colors, and seems pretty into subject matter pertaining to the Native Americans. I love his layering!
The textures are fascinating! At first I didn't like his work but once I started looking at pieces like "Broken reminders can still grow" he began to grow on me. ha.
He's given me some great ideas for my concentration because of his use of pattern! I can tell he just goes crazy, then gessos, then does that over and over again. I like how he gessos around his main figures, too--it makes them more of a focus :)
Wow! His art was very cool and interesting. I really liked the first one in the "tentacles" category. I also liked the ones in the "forest spirits" category. Jesse has a very unique style. His work is very abstract. He pulls it all together by drawing in mostly black and using similar background color patterns in most of his work. He also uses a lot of random flowing lines in the background that seem to create movement.
I watched part of the video that shows him painting and although he is painting with his hand he uses specific parts of it for different purposes. He really is an expert of using the tools that he already has. If only cavemen could've painted like that Lol
i love his art work! you can really tell he uses his hands when he paints and gets down and dirty. freshman year when we did our first project on canvas he was one of the artist i used!
This work is so interesting and creative! I absolutely love it! And I looked at his work from 2004 and I just love how hes gotten better! I also love the color and the plain drawing.
His style is so distinct and unique! It seems like he puts all of his passion into each painting and they all look different but they go together really well too. You'd think after making art for so long he would want to change his style up more than he has but it's cool that he has been able to create so many different pieces using the same basic idea/media
ahhh! i love jesse reno! i think it is so cool that he uses his hands to do his artwork. i like being able to see the artist's hand in artwork. it makes it so much more interesting to look at.
I love his use of color and how he repeats a lot of shapes and lines. Although his pieces can be really different, the repetition of a few things really ties them together! You can also tell he really gets into his work and just goes for it :)
Deja Vu, I feel like i have seen this before :0. Wow its soo Intense. This is one of those pieces that confuses me soo much but i love it even more because of it. His use of texture and line really overpowers the color. At least that's how i see it.
He is one of my favorite artists. I love his work. It is all in the same style using elements like color and line to tie it together. All of his work is distinctly his. Colleen
